On Jan. 9, 2018, Woodford Paschal Fisher Jr., of Mexia, known to most as “Jr.,” passed away peacefully at his home. He was born July 5, 1948, in Mexia, where he lived his entire life. He graduated from Mexia High School, Class of 1966. Jr. was a wonderful man who was uncomplicated, quiet and always willing to give anyone the shirt off his back.
He loved all of his family and friends, was the best daddy two boys could ask for, a wonderful grandfather to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother to his siblings, uncle to his nieces and nephews, son to his mom and dad, and wonderful friend to many. He will be truly missed.
Jr. is survived by his sons, Clint Fisher and wife Erica, and Josh Fisher and fiancée Cendy; sisters Gladys Liles and husband George, Billie Hatfield and husband Gary, Karen Plummer and (baby sister) Dorothy Ordieres; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lynn Fisher; parents, Woodford P. and Dorothy Fisher; and brothers, Jackie and Jimmy Fisher.
