Aline was born Sept. 23, 1925, near Coolidge, to Mack McKinley and Cedora Henderson Bunch. She married her loving husband, John J. Sanderson, on Nov. 28, 1945, in Waco; they were blessed with four children, Donald, Richard, Brenda and Johnny. Aline’s goals in life were to love God, her family, her neighbors, raise her children in a Christian home and to follow the “Golden Rule”; she met all these goals. She was a true Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
After being a full-time wife and mother, for many years, Aline went to work at the Mexia State School, retiring after 23 years of service. However, she preferred to keep busy and managed to do so until recently. She enjoyed growing vegetables, mowing and keeping a nice yard, cooking, sewing and church socials. She was a longtime, active member of Calvary Baptist Church. Aline loved her church, church family and her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Sanderson; son, John P. “Johnny” Sanderson; infant grandson, John P. Sanderson Jr; grandson-in-law, John Cook; brother, Peyton Bunch; sisters, Althea Moffett, Elva Dean Lee and Mozelle Mayes.
Aline is survived by her sons, Donald Sanderson and wife Sue, of Mexia, and Richard Sanderson, of Irving; daughter Brenda Ridge and Charlie Morris, of Mexia; grandchildren Lori Cook, of Hartshorne, Okla., Tammy Schulte and Blaine, of Lorena, Jason Ridge and Angela, of Rhome; great-grandchildren Brittany and Bethany Schulte, of Lorena, Jamie Nodine and Steven, of Mexia, Julie Mayfield and Brent, of Personville, Justin Cook and Kourtney, of Mexia, Daniel and Shaun Ridge, of Rhome; great-great-grandchildren, Dameon Cook, Lilly Gresham, Logan, Jessica, Steven, Jr., Vanessa and Quentin Nodine, all of Mexia, Katelynn, Zadie, Kiley and Matthew Mayfield, of Personville, and Allison Cook of Mexia.
