David William Smith, 68, of Mexia passed away Nov. 25, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at Corley-Porter Funeral Home Chapel in Mexia.
Smith was born Jan. 31, 1949 in Newport, Vt. to Richard and Susan Smith. He served in the United States Navy and was a very loving husband and father. His favorite name was Pepa and his family will dearly miss all the stories he had to tell. David was always there and ready to help anyone that needed help.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Michelle Tollett.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Smith of Mexia; son, Eric Tollett and wife, Stephanie of Austin and grandsons, Alex Salas and Anthony Salas both of Mexia.
