Edgar Alton “Bud” Lemon, Jr., 78, of Groesbeck passed away Oct. 19, 2017 at Providence Healthcare Center in Waco. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Mexia branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 1209 Hinchliffe Road in Mexia.
Edgar was born Sept. 3, 1939 in Claremore, Okla. to Edgar Alton, Sr. and Edith Marie Bough Lemon. He served in the Navy for four years.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Doss of Groesbeck; daughters, Monet Lemon of Houston, Kelly Hart of Hockley and Kimberly Doss Wright of Wake Forest, North Carolina; Grandchildren, Mallory Lemon of Houston, Alyssa Hart of Spring, Marcus Hart of Indiana, Kayla Hart Jones & husband Justin of Hockley, Derrick Hart of Spring, Benjamin Wright of Rexburg, Idaho, Elder Jesse Wright of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Washington Yakim Mission and Caleb Wright of Wake Forest, North Carolina; great grandchildren, Alexander Jones of Hockley, Alaina Jones of Hockley and Isabel Utsey of Spring; two brothers and one sister.
