Glynn Erwin Beene, of Ferris, born on June 18, 1929 in Mexia lost his long battle with a rare form of cancer on Friday Sept. 29, 2017.
Glynn passed peacefully in his home surrounded by his four children.
He is survived by Doyle Beene, brother, Louise Jones, sister, daughter Glynda and husband Johnny Martin, daughter Monica and husband Richard Ball, daughter Melinda and husband Curtis Mitchell, son Eric and wife Angie, four grandkids, Jahnna, Mark, Jennifer and Madison, and three great grandkids, Jace, Kylie and Whitney and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
He was a loving father, brother, uncle and grandfather and will be missed dearly.
Funeral services will be held on at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 2 at Corley-Porter Funeral Home Chapel in Mexia with the Reverend Bill Wright, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Point Enterprise Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday morning 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
