Services for Shirley Ann Miller, of Mexia, will be held Saturday, May 21, at 11 a.m. at Dorsey-Keatts Funeral Home Chapel, 602 N. Ross in Mexia.
Pastor Billy Jack Freeman and Minister Jason Forge will officiate.
Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Mexia.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, May 20, 1-7 p.m., also at Dorsey-Keatts Chapel.
Shirley Miller passed away May 13, 2016, at Providence Hospice, in Waco.
Shirley was born Oct. 28, 1952, in Mexia, to James “Buck” and Pearlie Mae (Palmer) Forge.
She attended Odessa public schools.
On Oct. 21, 1978, Shirley married James E. Miller, of Mexia. No children were born to their union.
She worked for a long while at what was then the Mexia State School as food service manager, then finished her career working as a dietitian at Mexia LTC nursing home.
Shirley was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, in Hillsboro.
Shirley Miller was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers, Sammy Lee Forge and Arthur Forge.
She is survived by two brothers, James “Pete” Forge Jr. and Edward D. Forge (Lisa); and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services for Shirley Miller are being handled by Dorsey-Keatts Funeral Home, in Mexia.
