Peggy spent the last nine years at Groesbeck LTC and she split her time at her home in Coolidge. She was born and raised in Dallas County, but moved to Mexia to take care of her grandfather in 1979. She always loved taking care of others, especially her family and children.
Peggy accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a gathering at the reunion grounds for Calvary Baptist Church in 1980. She married the love of her life, Roger, in 1981 and lived in Mexia for several years. She was a devoted housewife and took care of her mother and brother. She moved to Coolidge when her husband became a teacher and a coach for Coolidge Independent School District. She lived in Coolidge for the remainder of her life prior to moving to Groesbeck LTC. Peggy has been a member of First Baptist Church of Coolidge for 21 years serving as a Sunday School teacher and supporting her husband’s deacon ministry.
She was loved by so many and known as Aunt Peggy. She loved her Lord and Savior and her family. Family and friends will miss her dearly. They will carry her memory in their hearts forever. May she rest in Heaven now and we will meet again.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 5 at First Baptist Church of Coolidge. Services will be officiated by Pastor Chuck Sturgeon.
Everyone is invited to come celebrate the life of Sister Peggy.
