James (Jimmy) Donald Trotter

James (Jimmy) Donald Trotter was born in Waco on Nov. 29, 1950, the son of the late Edward and Marjorie Trotter.  He left to be with his Heavenly Father on July 14, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Jimmy graduated from Mexia High School in 1968. Upon graduation from high school, he was granted an appointment to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. where he studied to pursue a career as a pilot. After sustaining a knee injury that precluded his pilot career, he transferred to Sam Houston State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1974.
He met his bride, Martha Elizabeth Jackson, while attending Sam Houston.  They were married in 1971 and moved to Conroe where Jimmy worked as a CPA for Hereford Lynch and Company.  They had their two children, David Clayton and Laci Elizabeth in Conroe.
In 1983, Jimmy established his own Tax Accounting practice and moved his family to Bryan, Texas.  Among numerous accomplishments, he was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society

Among numerous accomplishments, he was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Board Member of Camp Creek Water Company, Member of Bryan Rotary Club and Head of the Finance Committee at First United Methodist Church.  He was also a member of First United Methodist Church and the Wesley Class Sunday School for over 30 years.
Jimmy dearly valued his family and was a big sports enthusiast.  Some of his best times were spent watching David and Laci play high school sports, and traveling all across America for tournaments and camps.  He loved his lake house at Camp Creek where he enjoyed spending many weekends working on projects and being on the water.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marjorie Trotter; his sister, Marjorie Anne and her husband, Don; and his brother, Kenneth Edward.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Martha Jackson Trotter; son, David Clayton Trotter and his wife, Karen; daughter, Laci Trotter King and her husband, Kenneth; his sister, Judy Carolyn Fife and her husband, Bubba; his sister-in-law, Sandra Trotter; grandson, James Hayes Trotter; granddaughter, Reece Elizabeth Trotter; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation was on Monday, July 17 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center in Bryan from 5-7 p.m. There will be a private family graveside followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 18 at First United Methodist Church in Bryan.
