Corene Turner Tyner, 92, of Austin, passed away on Jan. 13, 2017.
Corene was born Jan. 28, 1924 in Mexia to George and Mary Turner; she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and sister.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Gordon Davis Tyner.
Corene is survived by her children, Charlotte Carter, Roy Dean Tyner and Terri Kay Culbertson and husband, Robert. Corene was “Nana” to her grandchildren, Dena Looney and husband, Dion, Heather Carter Gitterle and husband, Marc, Chris Tyner and wife, Amy, Scott Tyner and wife, Sarah, Shelley Walters and husband, Trey, Michael Culbertson and wife, Christina; and to her great grandchildren, Katie and Blake Looney, Aidan and Gabel Gitterle, Noah, Leah and Jonah Tyner and Zoey and Pace Tyner.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 21 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a 2:30 p.m. graveside service will be conducted in the Mexia Cemetery.
